WDG designs three apartment high-rises in D.C. area

ARLINGTON, Va. — Washington, D.C.-based Weihe Design Group PLLC (WDG) has designed three new high-rise apartments in Arlington, Va. — Twin Oak, the Metropolitan and Warwick House II. Construction has begun on all three buildings, which are slated for completion in early 2003.

The 19-story Twin Oak high-rise is within walking distance to a metro station, and will feature 3,500 sq. ft. of retail space. The building will house studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, as well as a clubhouse and swimming pool. Twin Oak is being developed by The Donohoe Cos.

The Metropolitan at Pentagon City is a 325-unit complex with luxury studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. The 15-story Metropolitan will feature community Intranet, a fitness center, two levels of underground parking, a pool and a theater. The complex is located near a metro station, a mall and restaurants. KSI Services Inc. is the developer.

The 17-story, 212-unit Warwick House II will be located near Warwick House I, an 18-story, 321-unit apartment building. Warwick House II will have two levels of underground parking, a sundeck, a pool and a health club. The complex will feature studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments with Internet access.
