WHEATON, ILL—Dallas-based Studio Movie Grill signed a lease for 38,099 sq. ft. of space at Rice Lake Square in Wheaton. The dine-in movie theater will occupy space previously occupied by Linens ‘n Things and is slated to open on June 8.
Mid-America Asset Management Inc. Vice President Marget Graham and Senior Leasing Representative Katie Hennegan represented the landlord, Grosnover Americas, in the lease, while Jim Erdman of West Suburban Real Estate Group LLC represented the tenant.
Studio Movie Grill in Wheaton will be the company’s ninth location nationwide. It will feature an eight-screen, upscale theater with recliner seating and at-table dining. A central bar is also included. VIP and reserved seating will be available.
The 251,362-sq.-ft. Rice Lake Square is located near the northeast corner of Butterfield and Naperville Roads in Wheaton, a western suburb of Chicago. Anchors include Whole Foods, Stein Mart and PetSmart. The center recently completed a renovation that was also overseen by Mid-America Asset Management.
