NEW YORK—Chadbourne & Parke has signed a 20-year lease for more than 200,000 sq. ft. at 1301 Sixth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. The law firm will begin moving to its new space and will complete the move after the redesign and build-out of its space is completed. The lease includes two, five-year options for renewal and expansion options.
Chadbourne Partner Richard Sonkin, head of the firm’s real estate committee, worked with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank to negotiate the transaction.
The firm's new space will be designed by Gensler.
"We intend to design and build an office for the future, leveraging some of the key drivers for our clients and our lawyers—efficiency, flexibility and technology. We will create a state-of-the-art workspace for our clients, our lawyers and our staff," said Chadbourne Managing Partner Andrew Giaccia.
Founded in 1902 in New York City, Chadbourne provides a full range of legal services. The firm has 12 offices around the world.
