NEW YORK - Gardiner & Theobald, the world’s foremost construction consultancy, providing independent project management and cost management services, has expanded into New Jersey with a dedicated office and leadership team. The announcement was made by Jonathan Andrew, Senior Director.
“We have serviced many clients throughout the tri-state area, but recognize the importance of having a dedicated office and team in New Jersey to service the needs of this sophisticated and diverse market,” said Mr. Andrew.
Founded in the UK in 1835, and established in the US 21 years ago, Gardiner & Theobald has an extensive history of success managing construction projects for a variety of prestigious clients across all types of properties and uses – from corporate offices to hotels, museum and stores. In addition to its new office in Morristown, NJ, Gardiner & Theobald has US offices in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Miami.
“In New Jersey, we recognized the importance of having local leadership with a deep knowledge and experience within the market,” Mr. Andrew said. “This, along with our proven methodology for project management, will provide our New Jersey clients with the right formula to make their projects a success.”
In order to achieve this objective, Gardiner & Theobald has engaged Brian Tobiasz, a proven leader in the field in New Jersey, to serve as Regional Director for the firm’s New Jersey office.
Mr. Tobiasz is a 25-year veteran of project and construction management, working for the market’s premiere developers and tenants. Most recently, Mr. Tobiasz spent nine years as Senior Vice President of Operations for Avison Young – formerly The Walsh Company. In this position, he was responsible for the growth of the firm to more than 45 employees in three states, and the completion of hundreds of successful projects on behalf of the firm’s clients.
Prior to this, Mr. Tobiasz served as Vice President of Construction for Ivy Realty, and previously was Director of Construction for Reckson Associates Realty – New Jersey Division, and began his construction career at Hartz Mountain.
Mr. Tobiasz holds a Degree in Construction Management from New York University. He served in the United States Air Force, and is a graduate of the USAF Military Policy Academy. He is a licensed New Jersey Real Estate Salesperson. He and his family reside in Basking Ridge, NJ.

Also joining Mr. Tobiasz in New Jersey will be Christopher Perruna, who will serve as a Director of the office. Mr. Perruna is a native to New Jersey and has 13 years of industry experience with more than 6 years of project and cost management experience at Gardiner & Theobald for clients in most major asset classes including commercial office, financial, law, health care, pharmaceutical, insurance and media.
