BROOKLYN, NY - Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates, Inc. (KDA) has arranged a 4,500 square-foot lease for Tightrope, a unique furniture and lighting design company, at 144 Waterbury Street in the East Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, NY. Kalmon Dolgin and Neil Dolgin, co-presidents of Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates, made the announcement.
Heather Rae Hatton of Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates represented the tenant, Tightrope, and the landlord, 900 Grand St Milk LLC, in the deal.
Tightrope specializes in the design of finely crafted furniture and lighting, using natural materials such as wood, metal, glass, and stone. The company produces its inventory of tables, chairs, desks, and benches through woodworking, stone carving, and metalworking/welding. The lighting aspect of the business offers floor lamps, sconces, chandeliers and pendants.
The new business venture will occupy 4,500 square feet at the two-story, 22,600 square-foot property at 144 Waterbury Street, and utilize the space for both office and shop work. Other tenants at the building – a former barn and feed house – include K&J Lift, Inc. and Better Life Home Décor, Inc.
