Dallas, TX (September 30, 2013) – SRS Real Estate Partners has opened the doors to its newest office in Birmingham, Ala. The office includes the addition of Martin Smith, who will serve as senior vice president and co-market leader alongside Josh Burmeister, market leader for the Mobile, Ala. office. Smith has been in the commercial real estate industry for 13 years and specializes in landlord representation, tenant representation, and investment sales.
He has worked on several leasing projects in the Birmingham area such as The Firestone, The Palisades, Cityville, and Fultondale Promenade and currently represents 4.4 million square feet of retail space. Smith has also represented national tenants such as McDonald’s, Marco’s Pizza, Menchie’s Yogurt, Office Depot, Bloomin’ Brands and Sprint Mobile.
Before joining SRS, Smith spent seven years with Retail Specialists, Inc., where he was the director of brokerage and project leasing. Smith also worked at RGS Properties where he gained experience in site selection and grocery anchored center development. Smith has been named a CoStar Power Broker for the past three years and made the Birmingham Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 list for 2013.
