NEW YORK, NY – Western Façades, a Western Construction Group elite projects unit dedicated exclusively to large-scale, multi-million dollar façade restorations and new installations, has wrapped up a successful 2013 with the completion and expected completion of several major recladding and restoration projects that the company has been managing, including:
Completion of the restoration work done on the Fulton Transit Center’s Corbin Building on Broadway at John Street.
Completion of the recladding of 215 E 68th Street, one of the premier residential rental apartment buildings in New York City. The company received the 2013 Transformation Award by Friends of the Upper East Side Historic Districts as part of the project team for this major improvement to the building’s facade.
Ongoing installation of a new, ornamental terra cotta rainscreen façade at One Madison Park’s 22nd Street entrance at Building B.
In addition, the organization is looking forward to two new cladding projects, which include the upcoming installation of terra cotta rainscreen facades at the new ancillary buildings 1 and 2 at the 72nd Street entrance of the new 2nd Avenue Subway.
Recently, Western Facades welcomed Tim Braico as a new member of the team. He is a project manager with many years of experience in the construction and building industry.
The formation of Western Façades began in 2010 drawing on key personnel with extensive experience on complex projects from Brisk Waterproofing, a Western company serving the New York City real estate community for nearly a century. The Western Façades team continues to be led by Senior Operations Manager Michael C. Radigan, who works exclusively on large-scale, complex façade restoration and cladding projects requiring the company’s unique expertise and experience.
“As reflected by our completed projects and organizational growth, Western Facades has maintained positive momentum during the past year, and we expect this trend to continue,” added Mr. Radigan. “The key to our success has always been our commitment to being a client advocate by understanding and addressing our customer’s needs throughout the entire lifecycle of the projects we build, restore and preserve. The tremendous visibility we are generating through the completion of our current work is providing us with even more high-profile project opportunities and we anticipate an even stronger 2014. Our company outlook remains bright and we are looking forward to even more successes in the future, both in the short and long term.”
The Western Façades team was established in response to the growing number of large scale projects the firm has been retained for over the past several years. Western Façades is the first division of the company dedicated exclusively to these complex assignments, and provides the size and manpower of one of the largest specialty contractors with the expertise of nearly a century of construction and restoration experience.
Western Façades is part of Western Construction Group, a nationwide company with a network of expertise that building owners, engineers, architects and property managers count on to complete cost-effective, corrective and preservation measures that add years of useful life to buildings and structures. Serving the U.S. from 32 offices, they offer the best, time-tested techniques combined with innovative new technology. Western Group has had an exciting year of growth in 2013, and is poised to make 2014 an even more productive time, integrating new systems into the company’s operations while they prepare for the 2015 centennial celebration of the firm.
