Energy firm Enron has relocated to a new Houston office building. The company — which went bankrupt after it was found that executives and accountants had fraudulently manipulated the Houston company’s earnings — has leased 240,676 sq. ft. at 4 Houston Center. Occupancy begins in 2004.
The owner of the building is Crescent Real Estate Equities. With the Enron lease, 4 Houston Square’s vacancy has been cut to a mere 4%.
Enron was required to get permission from the U.S bankruptcy court to make the move to its new space. The move will leave two adjacent office buildings vacant.
