Private Investor Takes Kohl’s Shopping Center for $11.75 Million

TOPEKA, KAN.—A private investor has purchased Kohl’s Shopping Center in Topeka for $11.75 million. The seller was Houston-based Weingarten Realty Investors.

Joe Girardi of Mid-America Real Estate Corp., in cooperation with Eric Gonsher of Kansas City, Mo.-based R.H. Johnson Company, exclusively represented the seller in the transaction. The buyer was self-represented.

Totaling 115,684 sq. ft. of space, the center is anchored by Kohl’s and Barnes & Noble and is located next to the Simon-owned West Ridge Mall, which includes Dillard’s, JCPenney and Sears.
