New Jersey Printing Company Pictorial Corp. Gets Powered by the Sun

NEW JERSEYSolis Partners, a New Jersey-based solar developer, has completed a 757-kilowatt rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) installation for Carlstadt, N.J.-based Pictorial Corporation, a graphic communications company.

Situated on the roof of Pictorial Corporation’s 197,000-sq-ft. headquarters facility, Solis Partners designed, engineered and constructed the solar PV system, which consists of 2,968 panels that will generate approximately 782,200 kWh in the first year.

The system was partially financed from the local utility, Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G), which will be repaid with Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs). Pictorial completed its solar installation under PSE&G’s second Solar Loan program. The N.J. Board of Public Utilities (BPU), the utility regulator, is currently reviewing a potential third round of the program.

Family owned since 1938, Pictorial Corp. has addressed environmental issues affecting commercial printing for more than 25 years.
