NEW JERSEY—Big Lots has signed a lease to occupy 31,612 sq. ft. of space to serve as the new anchor for Bayshore Plaza in Barnegat. With an opening date set for August, Big Lots will occupy the space formerly occupied by A&P.
Located on Route 9 at Bay Shore Drive, Bayshore Plaza also includes tenants such as McDonalds’s, AT&T Wireless, Barnegat Pharmacy and others. The property totals 59,232 sq. ft. of space.
The population within a five-mile radius of the property grew 26.9 percent from 2000 to 2010. Average household income is $76,014, and is projected to increase.
Levin Management serves as as leasing and managing agent for Bayshore Plaza and signed Big Lots to the center.
Big Lots, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, offers bargain merchandise, including consumables, seasonal products, furniture, housewares, toys and gifts. With annual revenues approaching $5 billion, the retailer operates more than 1,400 stores serving 48 states.
