DMR Architects Develops Rehab Plan for Hackensack

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS—DMR Architects recently completed a rehabilitation plan for Hackensack. On April 18, the City Council unanimously voted to send the plan to the Hackensack Planning Board.

The rehabilitation plan encompasses 163 acres and includes strategies to revitalize the downtown. Such strategies include improvements to infrastructure; residential, retail and entertainment options; as well as parks and open space.

For the past year, DMR Architects, led by Francis Reiner, PP, LLA, worked with the city of Hackensack, which included members of the Upper Main Street Business Alliance, to develop the plan.

The Hackensack Planning Board will have two meetings on the document. The intent is that City Council will vote on final approval in June.
