NEW JERSEY—Ridge Road Properties L.L.C. has purchased Pfizer Inc.’s 378,000-sq.-ft. research facility located at 865 Ridge Road in Monmouth Junction. The Colliers International New Jersey team of Executive Managing Director Joseph Nitti and Senior Managing Director John Kainer executed the sale on behalf of the buyer, and has been retained as the building’s agent.
Ridge Road Properties has plans to develop the adjacent acreage and is making the property available for sale or lease.
The Class A asset includes 128,000 sq. ft. of laboratory space, a 60,000-sq.-ft. vivarium and 70,000 sq. ft. of office space.
Constructed in the 1950s and then expanded in the 1980s and again in the 1990s, the building was formerly an asset of Wyeth Research, which was ultimately acquired by Pfizer. The facility then became surplus.
865 Ridge Road is located near Route 1 and in close proximity to the town of Princeton.
