NEW YORK—Choice Hotels International Inc., Concord Hospitality, We Care Trading Co. Ltd. and Meyer Jabara Hotels announced the groundbreaking of three Cambria Suites hotels in New York to be located in Times Square and Chelsea in Manhattan and downtown White Plains. It will be Choice Hotels’ entry into New York and Cambria Suites’ expansion in key urban markets. All hotels will be new construction.

Taken together, the three projects represent a combined investment of approximately $141 million.

Cambria Suites Times Square, upon completion, will contain 81,000 sq. ft. of space and 196 suites. The hotel is a venture between Choice Hotels and Concord Hospitality of Raleigh, N.C. The hotel will include a lobby bar, outdoor seating and is slated to open in the winter of 2014 and will be located at 30 W. 46th Street.

Cambria Suites Chelsea is being developed by Robert Chun of We Care Trading Co. Ltd. and will be managed by Concord Hospitality. Slated to open in the second quarter of 2014, amenities will include plaza seating an outdoor patio seating area and is located at 123-125 W. 28th Street, and will include 135 suites in 56,500 sq. ft.

Cambria Suites White Plains will be one of the first hotels of this brand to be part of a mixed-use, urban design development. Plans for the hotel include two stories in downtown White Plains at 250 Main Street. Slated to open in the summer of 2013, Cambria Suites White Plans will include 130 suites, indoor pool and valet parking.
