600 Steamboat Road Brings on Two New Tenants

NEW YORK—Jones Lang LaSalle has completed two new, direct leases totaling 17,201 sq. ft. for GRC Realty Corp., a subsidiary of General Reinsurance Corp., at 600 Steamboat Road in Greenwich, Conn.

GRC Realty was represented by Brian Higgins and Chris Kraus, managing directors; George Walker, senior vice president; and Ethan Rice, vice president, all with Jones Lang LaSalle. The team worked with Michael Rea, vice president of corporate services, with GRC Realty.

In the first lease, RSR Partners took 9,412 sq. ft. of space for a 10-year term. RSR Partners was represented by James Ritman, managing director, with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank. The company, which is relocating to its new space from 8 Sound Shore Drive, will occupy a portion of the first floor.

In the second lease, Bessemer Trust N.A. took 7,789 sq. ft. for a 10-year term. Bessemer Trust was represented by Higgins, Kraus, Walker and Rice. The company will occupy a portion of the first floor in the central section of the office building, which will serve as the firm’s first Connecticut location.

The Class A, 180,000-sq.-ft. office building was built in 1972 and previously was the headquarters for General Reinsurance Corp.

GRC Realty is nearing completion of a multi-million-dollar capital improvement program at the office building, which is located nearby I-95 and is less than a quarter-mile from the Greenwich Metro North Station.
