Weight Watchers Signs Lease at Sixth & Rock

New York— Weight Watchers North America Inc. signed a lease for nearly 3,000 sq. ft. at Muss Development LLC’s Rockefeller Center office property at 64 West 48th Street, also known as “Sixth & Rock.” The 10-year, four-month deal is for space on the building’s 14th floor.

Weight Watchers will use the space for its group meetings and member weigh-ins. It plans to move into the space by the end of May.

Ross Spitalnick, a senior vice president with Muss Development, represented his company in the deal and Grace Sardell of Sardell & Company represented Weight Watchers.

Acquired by Muss Development in 2008, the property has been repositioned as a first-class boutique office building. The 130,000-sq.-ft., 17-story Sixth & Rock, has undergone a multimillion-dollar capital improvement program. Located between Fifth and Sixth Avenues in Manhattan’s Diamond District, and just off Rockefeller Center, this Midtown property now features a restored lobby, new elevator cabs, common areas and windows, an upgraded exterior and roof, HVAC system and electrical system upgrades, and new restrooms. Floor sizes range from 4,000 to 9,200 sq. ft.

Other tenants in the building include Document Technologies Inc., On Press Graphics, Xerox and Carrera Casting. The ground-floor retail space is occupied by City Sports.
