Trucking Company Buys Land for $2.7 Million in Commerce, Calif. for New Company Headquarters

So Cal Carriers, a California-based trucking company, has acquired 110,000 sq. ft. of land for $2.7 million in Los Angeles County’s Commerce market. So Cal is relocating its headquarters from the City of Industry to Commerce. The company will use a portion of an existing 36,123 sq. ft. warehouse currently on the site and demolish the rest to suit its needs.

The transaction is one of the highest sale prices for land in the Commerce market in the past two years, according to Voit Real Estate Services, which represented the seller, the Maechling Family Trust. GVA Daum Commercial Real Estate Services represented the buyer.

The land is located at 6403 E. Slauson Ave. in Commerce, just southeast of downtown Los Angeles and close to the I-710 and I-5 freeways.

“The buyer was considering a number of properties in the area, and the Voit team was successful in capturing their attention and demonstrating the value of this property,” says Brian McLoughlin, senior vice president in Voit’s Commerce office.
