SIZE: 56-acre waterfront redevelopment zone. The boardwalk revitalization includes 500,000 sq. ft. of retail and entertainment space spread over 1.25 miles of oceanfront property.
PROJECTED COMPLETION: Summer 2008
BUZZ: The revitalization initiative includes extensive renovation of all of the Boardwalk facilities from the convention hall to the Casino Building. Major improvements are also planned for the off-boardwalk portion of the waterfront redevelopment area. A Boardwalk-Downtown coalition has also been created to improve the coordination of marketing and public events.
