Advocate Will Consolidate, Close Two Centers

DOWNERS GROVE, IL—Advocate Health Care plans to close two of its system support centers and will expand its current campus here to create a new centralized business office.

The campus is in the Highland Landmark Complex, and Advocate will occupy almost four floors in the seven-story building located 3075 Highland Parkway. The consolidation will combine all of Advocate’s Chicago area patient access/registration and patient accounting operations into a single department. The move is expected to be complete by late spring 2013. Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital is also in Downers Grove.

Jim Skogsbergh, Advocate’s president and CEO, said the new open environment office will be ideal for creating more collaboration. “The new space allows us to bring the unique disciplines of more than 600 employees from our support center locations together in an integrated team environment,” he said in a statement. Advocate is a not-for-profit, mission-based health system affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the United Church of Christ.v
