Food Flavor R&D Lab Sells for $6 Million

HOFFMAN ESTATES—Sensient Flavors LLC has purchased a 66,000-sq.-ft. research and development lab here at 5115 Sedge Boulevard for $5.6 million.

The three-story building, the former home of the Quest International Flavors and Food Ingredients Co., is on a 9-acre plot. Olivia Czyzynski, Anthony Lopes and Gene White with Sperry Van Ness facilitated the sale.

“Although this building was best suited for a lab user, we explored all potential purchasers,” Czyzynski said in a statement. “However, in the end we knew a lab user would find the most value in the property for the seller if the purchaser could use the building for its intended purpose.”
