ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS—Heinrich Bauer Publishing L.P. has renewed its long-term lease at 270 Sylvan Ave., according to Curtis Foster of Cushman & Wakefield Inc. The facility serves as United States headquarters for Bauer Publishing Group, known for Woman’s World, First for Women and In Touch Weekly magazines, among others.
The transaction involves Bauer Publishing’s 13,600-sq.-ft. space on the first floor of 270 Sylvan Ave. The firm also occupies approximately 36,000 sq. ft. on the second floor; the renewal makes both commitments coterminous. Denholtz Associates owns the property.
Foster noted that the property’s location and ability to accommodate Bauer Publishing’s operating needs continue to make it an ideal fit. “Proximity to the company’s Manhattan offices and employees commuting from the city is a must,” he said. “Additionally, because Bauer Publishing produces its magazines onsite, the firm requires late night and weekend access."
Bauer Publishing sells more magazines in retail outlets in the United States than any other magazine publishing company. Its magazines target multiple consumer segments, including celebrity/entertainment, women’s, teen and science/technology.
