Lux Biosciences Agrees to Renewal at Harborside Financial Center

NEW JERSEY—Lux Biosciences has renewed its 8,414-sq.-ft. lease at Harborside Financial Center in Jersey City. Tom Giannone and Ron Ganter, managing principals, and Ed English, vice president of Cresa NJ – North/Central, represented the tenant in the deal. The landlord, First States Investors Harborside L.L.C., was represented by Aaron Ellison of Jones Lang LaSalle.

“Lux Biosciences wanted to align its office lease with the interests of its equity holders and management through a short-term, flexible lease renewal,” said Giannone. “We worked closely with both the tenant and landlord to negotiate a lease at competitive rates, and were able to avoid relocation at this critical juncture in Lux’s business.”

Founded in 2006, Lux Biosciences Inc. is a privately held biotechnology company focused on the treatment of ophthalmic diseases with a high unmet medical need.
