Hotel Company Adds New Properties

On Monday, Carlson Hotels Worldwide announced the addition of five new locations to its global portfolio of brands. These include one Radisson Hotels & Resorts hotel in California, three Country Inns & Suites hotels in the U.S. and one Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts hotel in India. With this latest announcement, Carlson’s global portfolio numbers 943 hotels with 146,680 rooms in 70 countries. Carlson hotel brands also include Regent International Hotels and Park Inn.

"We're delighted with the development progress our brands have made this year," says Bill Sipple, corporate vice president of development for full service hotels at Carlson Hotels Worldwide. "In all, we've added 70 hotels since January 1, and intend to take advantage of the continued favorable market and growth opportunities in the Americas, Asia/Pacific and the EMEA region.”

Sipple says that Carlson will continue to seek out and buy properties throughout the world. Emerging markets are a priority, Sipple, as well as growing urban and suburban markets.
