Marriott International reports that its Web site set a record for revenue last year with gross sales of more than $1.4 billion. That was a 29% increase over 2002, according to the hotel company.
Online bookings are on a tear, too. On Feb. 10, more than 250,000 bookings — a record — were made through Marriott’s Web site, reports the company.
Marriott operates and franchises more than 2,700 lodging properties throughout the United States.
