Pizzuti set to break ground on Ohio distribution facility

The Pizutti Cos., based in Columbus, Ohio, will break ground this month on a $21 million, 766,571 sq. ft. build-to-suit distribution center in Obetz, Ohio. Continental General Tire will be the tenant of the building. Completion of the project is slated for March 2002. The Walker Cos., based in Atlanta, represented Continental in the build-to-suit negotiations.

The center will create approximately 50 new jobs in Franklin County, Ohio, according to The Walker Cos. Property tax abatement was the deciding factor in Continental’s decision to build a center in Obetz, according to The Walker Cos.
