WRIT purchases North Bethesda, Md., office building for $44 million

NORTH BETHESDA, Md. – Rockville, Md.-based Washington Real Estate Investment Trust (WRIT) has acquired One Central Plaza, located at 11300 Rockville Pike in North Bethesda, Md., for $44.4 million. Built in 1974, the 12-story office building contains 274,000 sq. ft. of rentable space on eight levels and 763 parking spaces in a four-level parking garage. One Central Plaza is 99.9% leased to 62 tenants.

The property is located across from the entrance to White Flint Mall and two blocks south of the White Flint Metro Station. WRIT’s acquisition of One Central Plaza brings its total office holdings in the North Bethesda/Rockville submarket to 1.1 million sq. ft. in eight buildings.
