WOODBRIDGE, N.J. — Onyx Equities, LLC, a leading private real estate investment, development and management firm, today announced that Daniel J. Venn has been named vice president of asset management/investments.
In this role, Venn will be responsible for investment management activities including strategic planning, leasing and capital programming, as well as the day-to-day operations of Onyx’s portfolio.
Prior to joining Onyx, Venn served as an underwriter on the Acquisitions team at Invesco Real Estate, one of the world’s largest managers of private real estate investments and public real estate securities. His responsibilities included performing the underwriting, analysis, due diligence and closing of several transactions with a combined value of $1.4 billion. He also underwrote more than 100 transactions throughout the Northeast Corridor.

Venn has also served as an associate in the Acquisitions and Asset Managment department of Urdang Capital Management in Philadelphia. He performed the underwriting, analysis, due diligence and closing of multiple transactions with a combined valued of more than $450 million, and underwrote the acquisition of a $1.1 billion high-yield real estate debt fund.

Currently enrolled in a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program, Venn is a Level III CFA candidate. He received a bachelor’s degree in finance from The Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pa.
