Despite uncharacteristically severe winter and spring weather, including two blizzards and 17 days of rain delay, Opus maintained the project’s forward momentum completing the building under an accelerated timeline and also delivering under budget.
“Our integrated team worked closely with Freightquote to deliver a new office space that meets their business needs,” said Oscar Healy, vice president at Opus Design Build, L.L.C. “Our design-build approach allowed us to construct the main structure while the interior design was being finalized, resulting in project completion in just 290 days.”
The new building accommodates the company’s current workforce of 1,100 employees and includes space for its growing operations with capacity for 1,800 employees on the 30-acre site.
Conveniently located on Carondelet Drive just east of State Line Road with easy access to Interstate 435, the four-story headquarters is steel frame and features architectural precast concrete with glass curtain wall.
Construction began in August 2012 and was completed in early June of this year.
