PRESS RELEASE: Scheer Partners Hired By Biomedical Research Institute To Provide Commercial Real Estate Consulting Services

ROCKVILLE, MD – Scheer Partners, the leading provider of fully integrated commercial real estate services for the health science industry in the Washington and Baltimore metropolitan areas, announced today that the Biomedical Research Institute (BRI) has engaged the Rockville-based company to provide strategic analysis, construction management, and property management services to BRI.

Initially, Scheer Partners will provide comprehensive due diligence and renovation analysis on the overall facility to determine what modifications, if any, are needed to bring the property into current market standards and consistent with industry “best practices,” with a specific eye on improving the marketability of the incubator space and supporting facilities.

Additionally, Scheer Partners will advise BRI on plans to accommodate its future growth goals and objectives.

Marc Schlesinger, Scheer Partners’ Principal of Asset and Investment Management, will lead the project and spearhead the due diligence and analysis process.

Scheer Partners Senior Vice President Matt Brady is providing marketing analysis, and company Senior Vice President Henry Bernstein will provide incubator operations and recommendations.

BRI fully leases 12111 Parklawn Drive in Rockville for its research activities under a National Institutes of Health contract for the Schistosomiasis virus. The building is also occupied by numerous incubator tenants that collaboratively share the facility.
