NEW YORK CITY – The Thornton Tomasetti board of directors and managing principals announce the promotion of Khaled Othman, P.E. to vice president in the New York office of the international engineering firm. Mr. Othman has been with Thornton Tomasetti since 1999.
Mr. Othman has more than 14 years of experience in the structural investigation, condition assessment, feasibility studies, forensic analysis and stabilization of existing buildings and in design for structural repairs, renovations and additions.
He offers expert witness services and is proficient in the preservation of historic structures and façades and modernizations of commercial buildings, cultural and religious facilities, parking garages, tunnels and industrial buildings.
Mr. Othman is a licensed professional engineer in New York and is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of New York (SEAoNY).He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Zagazig University in Cairo and a master’s degree in structural engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, N.J.
