PRESS RELEASE: Thornton Tomasetti Promotes Torsten Gottlebe to Vice President in the Pacific Rim Group

NEW YORK CITY – The Thornton Tomasetti board of directors and managing principals announce the promotion of Torsten Gottlebe, P.E., to vice president in the Pacific Rim group of the international engineering firm. He is based in the firm’s New York office.

Mr. Gottlebe has 12 years of experience in structural engineering design, construction administration and project management for large-scale developments in the U.S., Asia and the Caribbean. His portfolio includes tall and supertall commercial and residential buildings, hospitals, hotels and resorts, performing arts centers and sports facilities.

He is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of New York (SEAoNY) and has lectured on his role in the Las Vegas CityCenter mega-project. He is the author of several technical papers, including “Performance-Based Seismic Evaluation of Ping An International Finance Center.”

Mr. Gottlebe is a licensed professional engineer in New York. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in civil engineering from Bauhaus University Weimar in Germany.
