CHICAGO – Baum Realty Group, LLC (“Baum”) is pleased to announce the $1.3MM and $1.475MM acquisitions of two suburban Chicago land parcels by InSite Real Estate Investments, developer for The Gardner School, a national childcare center. The first acquisition, a 1.37 acre property in north suburban Northbrook, is part of the Glen Point shopping center currently under construction at the northwest corner of Willow Road and I-294. The second acquisition, a 1.24 acre parcel in west suburban Oakbrook Terrace, is located at the northwest corner of Butterfield Road and Summit Avenue. Baum Senior Associate Jonathan Feld negotiated both transactions on behalf of the purchaser and The Gardner School. Both transactions closed in June of 2013.
Based in Brentwood Tennessee, The Gardner School is an academically focused preschool for children aged six weeks to five years, offering infant, toddler, preschool, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten academic and enrichment programs. The school provides unique programming such as Spanish and Mandarin, dance/ballet, gymnastics, music and drama, and other sports. The Glenview and Oakbrook Terrace locations will join existing schools in the West Loop - Downtown and Warrenville as part of the first phase of The Gardner School’s expansion into the Chicagoland market. The Gardner School has additional openings planned in 2014 and 2015.
