Safeguard Storage Pays $1.9M for Brooklyn Property, Plans Self-Storage Facility

NEW YORK—Safeguard Storage has acquired 1635 Albany Ave. in the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn, N.Y. for $1.9 million. Jean Cook of Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates represented the seller, Albany Roe Corp., in the transaction, while Allan Profeta of Premier Properties represented the buyer.

Located between Avenue H and Glenwood Road, 1635 Albany Ave. totals 18,500 sq. ft. of space situated on an 18,500-sq.-ft. lot. The property provides easy access to public transportation, as well as Kings Highway and Flatbush Avenue.

The new ownership will develop a self-storage facility at the building.
